The London Book Fair (LBF) has announced its first London Book & Screen Week (LBSW) to celebrate books, film and television. The event will run from 13-19 April to coincide with LBF (14-16 April) and include guest authors Deborah Moggach, Louisa Young, Joe Abercrombie, John Banville, Sarah Hall and Patricia Duncker. Events include author Q&As, writing masterclasses, film screenings, cooking demonstrations, bookshop crawls, literary debates, live readings, poetry parties, fiction prizes, book launches, self-publishing workshops, George RR Martin screenings and Harry Potter fan expos, held in various London venues. The event ‘brings storytelling and the written word to life, uniting the capital’s avid readers, writers, game, film and TV fans with a whole host of events taking place right across literary London,’ said LBF in a statement.
