Australian Romance Readers Awards 2014 winners announced

Kylie Scott was named Favourite Australian Romance Author for the second year in a row at the 2014 Australian Romance Readers Awards in Canberra on 7 March.

Scott also won awards for Favourite Continuing Romance Series for ‘Stage Dive’ (Pan Macmillan) and Favourite Contemporary Romance and Favourite Cover for the second book in the series, Play.

The winners in the other categories were:

  • Favourite Paranormal Romance: Shield of Winter (Nalini Singh, Gollancz)
  • Favourite Sci-Fi, Fantasy or Futuristic Romance: Magic Breaks (Ilona Andrews, Ace Books)
  • Favourite Short Category Romance: The Honeymoon Trap (Kelly Hunter, Tule)
  • Favourite Historical Romance: The Winter Bride (Anne Gracie, Michael Joseph)
  • Favourite Erotic Romance: Down and Dirty (Rhian Cahill, Lexxie Couper, Jess Dee & Sami Lee, self-published)
  • Favourite Romantic Suspense: Safe Harbour (Helene Young, Michael Joseph).

 

The winners of the Members’ Choice awards were also announced. They were:

  • Sexiest Hero: Adam in Outback Ghost (Rachael Johns, Mira)
  • Favourite New Romance Author: Alli Sinclair.
