The shortlist for this year’s Australian Booksellers Association (ABA) Nielsen BookData Booksellers Choice Award has been announced.

The shortlisted titles are:

  • Pig the Pug (Aaron Blabey, Scholastic)
  • Lost & Found (Brooke Davis, Hachette)
  • This House of Grief (Helen Garner, Text Publishing)
  • The 52-Storey Treehouse (Andy Griffiths & Terry Denton, Pan Macmillan)
  • When the Night Comes (Favel Parrett, Hachette)
  • The Rosie Effect (Graeme Simsion, Text).

ABA members will now have the opportunity to vote for their favourite shortlisted title. The winner will be announced during the ABA conference on 17 May in Melbourne.

The award recognises Australian new-release titles that booksellers most enjoyed reading, marketing and handselling during the past year. Last year’s winner was Burial Rites by Hannah Kent (Picador).
