Little, Brown teams up with Lego for new kids titles

In the US, Little, Brown Books for Young Readers (LBBYR) has signed a deal with the Lego Group to develop titles based on a number of Lego properties, reports Publishers Weekly. The books will be based on the Lego Ninjago, Friends and Bionicle products and will be published as full-colour graphic novels and ebooks aimed at children aged six to 11. LBBYR will have a ‘major presence’ at San Diego’s Comic-Con in July ahead of the release of the first three titles for Christmas 2015, the company said in a statement. ‘We are proud and honored to work with the Lego Group to build a publishing program that will delight and inspire young readers for years to come,’ said LBBYR senior vice-president Andrew Smith, who acquired North American rights to the properties.
