The CBCA has also released its list of Notable Books, which is available on the CBCA website here.

CBCA national president Angela Briant described this year’s entries as ‘very strong across all categories and particularly in the Eve Pownall award’. ‘It’s exciting to see an increase in the number of entries and also observe the genre developing,’ said Briant. ‘Publishers entered many intriguing books that convey information in a format that will engage children. One trend was stories that recreate a particular time in Australian history, with endearing and captivating characters teaching children about life during that time.’
