Bloomsbury and Pantera Press announce new partnership

Bloomsbury Australia and Pantera Press have announced a new partnership to ‘strategically grow Pantera Press’ readership and sales’.

The partnership, which begins in June, will see Bloomsbury distribute Pantera Press titles through UBD, taking over from current distributor Simon & Schuster.

Bloomsbury Australia MD Kate Cubitt told Books+Publishing the partnership also includes a plan for the publishers to ‘have a relationship that extends beyond distribution and into marketing, publicity and showcasing Australian authors within both the Bloomsbury and Pantera lists’.

‘We are very excited by the dynamism and integrity of Pantera Press which echoes the spirit of a young Bloomsbury, established nearly 30 years ago,’ said Cubitt. ‘Being able to create a partnership with Pantera Press has opened a whole new dimension to Bloomsbury in the Australian market.’

Pantera Press CEO Alison Green said the press is thrilled with the new partnership. ‘Our two companies have many wonderful synergies, so Bloomsbury is a perfect strategic partner for us in our next phase of growth,’ said Green. ‘This is a very exciting time for Pantera Press, with more news to come.’ (See classified.)
