Jane Curry Publishing rebrands as Ventura Press, announces new partnership with S&S

Jane Curry Publishing (JCP) will rebrand as Ventura Press from 1 August this year, timed to coincide with a new sales and distribution partnership with Simon & Schuster Australia (S&S).

JCP is currently distributed by NewSouth Books.

In a statement, JCP managing director Jane Curry said the rebranding and partnership is an opportunity to ‘join forces’ with the trade strength of S&S. ‘Ventura will continue to publish our signature brand of strong Australian non-fiction, health and high-end fiction titles to complement the excellent Simon & Schuster list,’ said Curry.

S&S managing director Dan Ruffino said he is thrilled to welcome Curry to the company. ‘The experience that Jane and her team bring coupled with her passion and innovative approach both complements and enhances the values we have here,’ said Ruffino. ‘We are looking forward to growing the sales and presence of Jane’s books across Australia New Zealand from 1 August.’

The Jane Curry Publishing backlist will be rebranded Ventura Press as titles are reprinted. The first title to be published under the Ventura brand will be Six Degrees by Honey Brown.
