PRH UK Children’s division creates one editorial team

In the UK, Penguin Random House (PRH) has restructured its children’s division to create one editorial team, reports the Bookseller. Editors at Random House Children’s Publishers and Puffin will continue to work separately on their existing titles under the new structure, but will begin acquiring new titles as one division. Publishing director of Puffin Fiction Amanda Punter will be taking on responsibility for picture books in her newly appointed role as publishing director of PRH Children’s, with the current executive editors for pictures books at RHCP and Puffin reporting to her. PRH has said that no jobs have been cut from the editorial teams and the two teams will continue to be based at their offices in Strand and Ealing. As previously reported by Books+Publishing, Penguin Random House announced the merger of its children’s divisions in the UK in January 2014.
