Suckling appointed Copyright Agency CEO

The Copyright Agency has appointed Adam Suckling as its new CEO.

Suckling replaces outgoing CEO Murray St Leger, who announced in March he would be leaving the organisation. St Leger was appointed CEO in 2014.

Suckling is the current director of policy, corporate affairs and community relations at News Corp, and has previously held positions at Optus, Singtel and Foxtel during a 20-year career in the local and Asia-Pacific media and telecommunications sector.

In a statement, Copyright Agency chairman Sandy Grant thanked St Leger for his leadership at the organisation. ‘Whilst we are regretful that Murray has had to return to the UK prematurely, we are very confident he has left a well-organised, well-led team as a strong basis for Adam’s arrival,’ said Grant.

‘[Suckling] is well suited to lead the Copyright Agency into its next phase, as innovative business models emerge that offer new licensing solutions.’
