PRH, Amazon reach sales agreement

Penguin Random House (PRH) has signed new print and ebook sales agreements with in the US and the UK, reports the Bookseller. PRH was the last of the big five publishers to reach a deal with Amazon. It follows reports of a sales terms dispute between PRH UK and Amazon. No details were released about the nature of the agreements, with a PRH spokesperson commenting: ‘We do not discuss our relationships with our retail partners. But, as you can see, we still are in business with Amazon, and with all our retail partners, and will continue to be.’ Hachette US, Simon & Schuster and Macmillan have previously confirmed a return to agency in the US, and Amazon said earlier this year that it would accept a similar deal with PRH.
