PRH US selling books on Twitter

In the US, Penguin Random House (PRH) is a launch partner for a new direct purchasing initiative on Twitter, reports GoodEreader. The initiative allows readers to click on a book-related tweet from PHR and go directly to a product page within Twitter. This page features a description of the title, tweets from others about the book and a buy button—which is currently only accessible in the US—where the payment is processed by Twitter. The PRH Twitter account also includes a ‘Browse Collection’ tab that links directly to the product pages. As previously reported by Books+Publishing, HarperCollins US sold copies of Insurgent via Twitter Commerce earlier this year.
