Thriller Awards 2015 winners announced

International Thriller Writers (ITW) has announced the winners of the 2015 Thriller Awards. Winning titles include: The Fever (Megan Abbott, Picador) for Best Hardcover Novel; The Weight of Blood (Laura McHugh, Arrow) for Best First Novel; Moonlight Weeps (Vincent Zandri, Down & Out Books) for Best Paperback Original; and Nearly Gone (Elle Cosimano, Penguin) for Best Young Adult Novel. The Silver Bullet Literary Award, which recognises ‘outstanding and meritorious achievement in the pursuit of literacy and the love of reading’, was awarded to Kathy Reichs. The awards were announced at ThrillerFest X on 11 July in New York. The presentation included a special announcement to honour Tom Piccirilli, a former winner of the Best Paperback Original and recipient of four Bram Stoker Awards, who had died earlier in the evening.
