Joint winners announced for 2015 Ernest Scott Prize

Alan Atkinson’s The Europeans in Australia: Volume 3: Nation (UNSW Press) and Tom Brooking’s Richard Seddon, King of God’s Own: The Life and Times of New Zealand’s Longest-Serving Prime Minister (Penguin) have been named joint winners of the 2015 Ernest Scott Prize.

The winners were chosen from a shortlist of five for the $13,000 prize, which is awarded annually to a work based on original research that contributes to the history of Australia or New Zealand or to the history of colonisation.

The prize is presented by the University of Melbourne’s Faculty of Arts, in conjunction with the Australian Historical Association. For more information on the winners, click here.
