RITA Awards 2015 winners announced

In the US, the winners have been announced for the 2015 Romance Writers of America (RWA) RITA Awards, which recognise excellence in romance novels and novellas. Among the winners in the 12 categories were Clara Kensie’s Run to You (Harlequin Teen) in the Best First Book category; J D Robb’s Concealed in Death (Piatkus) in the Romantic Suspense category; Tiffany Reisz’ The Saint (Harlequin Spice) in the Erotic Romance category; Juliana Stone’s Boys Like You (Sourcebooks) in the Young Adult Romance category; and Janes Graves’ Baby It’s You (Grand Central Publishing) in the Contemporary Romance: Long category. As previously reported by Books+Publishing, three Australian authors were finalists in this year’s RITA awards. The winners were announced at an awards ceremony on 25 July as part of the RWA annual conference in New York. Also announced at the ceremony were the winners of the RWA Golden Heart Awards for excellence in unpublished manuscripts. For the full list of winners, visit the RWA website here.
