US fantasy writer launches publishing company

In the US, fantasy writer and game designer Ed Greenwood is launching a publishing company focussing on fantasy titles called The Ed Greenwood Group (TEGG), reports Publishers Weekly. Greenwood is the author of more than 200 fantasy and science-fiction novels, and the creator of the ‘Forgotten Realms’ universe for the game Dungeons and Dragons. His publishing company will produce books, games and art related to newly created fantasy worlds, and Greenwood has already signed up over 100 authors, 30 game designers and 50 artists. The first book, to be released on Halloween, is Your World is Doomed by Greenwood, which is set in a demon-filled urban fantasy world called Hellmaw. Greenwood plans to publish novels from genres such as space opera, spy thriller and steampunk and will also produce games, jewellery, costumes and other objects inspired by fantasy worlds.
