Harlequin UK to move to HarperCollins office, redundancies announced

In the UK, Harlequin will move into the HarperCollins office this month, with around 25 roles to go from the shared services team, reports the Bookseller. HarperCollins has confirmed ‘a number of redundancies’ resulting from the move, which will see Harlequin UK run as a separate division within HarperCollins UK and report to HarperCollins UK chief executive Charlie Redmayne. A Harlequin ‘global acquisitions team’, which reports to Harlequin’s Canada office, will also move to HarperCollins UK office. The move follows HarperCollins’ acquisition of Harlequin in May 2014.
