Scholastic and National Maritime Museum to co-produce ‘Horrible Histories’ exhibition

Scholastic Australia and the National Maritime Museum in Sydney will co-produce an interactive exhibition based on a book in the popular ‘Horrible Histories’ series by author Terry Deary and illustrator Martin Brown. ‘Horrible Histories—Pirates: The Exhibition’ opens at the museum on 15 December and runs for the duration of the school holidays. Aimed at children aged four to 10, the exhibition will bring Deary and Brown’s ‘unique approach to history to life with foul facts, lively illustrations and gruesome games’. The ‘Horrible Histories’ series, which has more than 60 titles, has previously been adapted for TV on ABC3 and theatre, including a sell-out performance at the Sydney Opera House in 2014.  For more information about the exhibition, visit the website here.
