Amazon appoints director of social responsibility
Amazon has appointed a director of social responsibility amid recent criticism of its business practices, reports the Bookseller. Christine Bader, the author of The Evolution of a Corporate Idealist: When Girl Meets Oil (Bibliomotion), previously worked on social responsibility for BP and as an advisor to the UN Secretary General’s Special Representative for business and human rights.
