Momentum to take Twitter pitches from authors

Pan Macmillan’s digital-only imprint Momentum will run its first Twitter-pitch session on 25 September. Australian and international authors are invited to tweet a pitch for their completed, unpublished novel up to once an hour over the course of the day using the hashtag #pitchmentum. Momentum staff will favourite any tweets they are interested in, with the author then asked to submit their manuscript. The publisher is only accepting genre fiction manuscripts, including thrillers, romance, erotic romance, science-fiction, fantasy, crime and horror. In the UK, literary agents Curtis Brown and Conville & Walsh held a Twitter-pitch day in July, with around 100 tweets favourited out of more than 2000 pitches. For more information about #pitchmentum, visit the Momentum website here.
