Penguin to launch healthy living imprint

In the UK, Penguin is establishing a new self-development and healthy living imprint, reports the Bookseller. Penguin Life will launch in 2016 with 10 titles, increasing to 20 titles in 2018 across the UK and Commonwealth and other markets. Books already commissioned for the imprint include Ruby Wax’s A Mindfulness Guide for the Frazzled, a guide to the science behind meditation, a psychotherapist’s guide to parenting and a fitness guide based on the popular app Zombies, Run!. ‘From psychology to nutrition, from physical fitness to mental health, from parenting to inspirational thinking, we will publish books which help you to live well and enjoy life to the full. We’re already gathering together a list of top authors who are experts, academics and great communicators in these fields,’ said head of Penguin Life Venetia Butterfield. The imprint will partner with key lifestyle brands and hold at least one major consumer-facing event in its first year.
