Adler, Tuffield and Curry recognised as ‘Women of Influence’

Several publishing figures have been recognised in the Australian Financial Review Westpac 100 Women of Influence 2015 list.

Melbourne University Publishing CEO and Australian Publishers Association president Louise Adler and Black Inc. publisher and Stella Prize executive director Aviva Tuffield have been nominated in the ‘Culture’ category.

Jane Curry, founder and managing director of Ventura Press, was nominated in the ‘Business Enterprise’ category. Stella Prize board member Kristi Mansfield was also recognised in the ‘Innovation’ category for her work as managing director of consulting company Fifth Quadrant.

As previously reported by Books+Publishing, Tuffield was a finalist in the 2015 Women’s Agenda leadership awards and was nominated as a Daily Life Woman of the Year in the arts category in 2013.

A winner in each category, and an overall winner, will be announced at an awards evening on 15 October at the Sydney Town Hall. For more information, click here.
