The top two entries in the overall bestsellers chart remain unchanged from last week, with Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Old School (Jeff Kinney, Puffin) holding onto top spot and Jamie Oliver’s Everyday Super Food (Michael Joseph) in second. Rounding out the top five are Millie Marotta’s Animal Kingdom, Mille Marotta’s Tropical Wonderland (both Batsford) and Lost Ocean (Virgin Books), the latest colouring book from Secret Garden and Enchanted Forest author Johanna Basford. Lost Ocean is also at the top of the fastest movers chart, followed by three local titles: picture book Little Dog and the Christmas Wish (Corinne Fenton, illus by Robin Cowcher, Walker), the inspiration for this year’s Myer Christmas Windows; political history The Dismissal (Paul Kelly & Troy Bramston, Viking); and broadcaster Adam Spencer’s new popular mathematics title Adam Spencers World of Numbers (Xoum). Isobelle Carmody’s The Red Queen (Viking), the seventh and final book in the ‘Obernewtyn’ series, has topped this week’s highest new entries chart—Books+Publishing (source: Nielsen BookScan, week ending 14 November 2015)
