Pan Mac to launch Oprah Winfrey imprint, publish memoir

Pan Macmillan’s Flatiron Books will launch a nonfiction imprint in 2017 with books chosen by Oprah Winfrey, beginning with Winfrey’s memoir The Life You Want, reports Publishers Weekly. Flatiron president and publisher Bob Miller said he was excited to leverage Winfrey’s ‘extraordinary instincts’ for selecting books, adding that the imprint would release ‘several’ books annually. Miller described Winfrey’s memoir as ‘a remarkable combination of Oprah’s life story and the lessons we can all draw from it for our personal growth’. The memoir will be published by Pan Macmillan in the US, UK, Australia and New Zealand in January 2017.
