Redgum Book Club launches children’s imprint

Redgum Book Club has announced it will launch a children’s book imprint in 2016.

The imprint, Redgum, is set to release its first title in the first quarter of 2016, with the full annual publishing schedule still to be finalised.

Redgum MD Denny Neave said the strong growth of the schools book club since its launch in March 2014 has provided the company with ‘great confidence in moving to the next stage of [its] business plan earlier than expected’.

As previously reported by Books+Publishing, Redgum Book Club launched its Young Writers’ Award in August, providing young Australian writers aged nine to 13 the opportunity to have their writing published. Winners will be chose in the categories of short story and picture book, with the two winning titles set to be published under the Redgum imprint.
