Starford, Kent to edit ‘KYD’ in 2016

Kill Your Darlings founders Rebecca Starford and Hannah Kent will jointly edit the literary journal in 2016, with current editor Brigid Mullane stepping down from the position.

Mullane has been editor of Kill Your Darlings for the past two years.

As previously reported by Books+Publishing, Mullane and former Emerging Writers’ Festival CEO Sam Twyford-Moore have formed a literary and creative talent agency for emerging and new writers, with Mullane taking on the role of editorial director.

Kill Your Darlings also announced that deputy editor Hop Dac has been appointed associate editor, editorial assistant Ashleigh Hanson has been appointed deputy editor, and Alan Vaarwerk has been appointed deputy online editor, replacing Samantha Forge.
