Griffiths, Denton sell more than 700,000 ‘Treehouse’ books to top 2015 local bestsellers list

Andy Griffiths and Terry Denton’s ‘Treehouse’ books took the top five spots in the 2015 Australian bestsellers chart, selling a total of 714,000 copies, according to data from Nielsen BookScan.

Rosalie Ham’s The Dressmaker (Duffy & Snellgrove), which was first published in 2005, sold 81,000 copies of its film tie-in edition to finish in sixth spot. Two more spots in the top 10 were taken up by adult fiction: Liane Moriarty’s The Husband’s Secret (Pan), which sold 77,000 copies to finish in seventh place on the Australian bestsellers chart, and Kate Morton’s The Lake House (A&U), which sold 69,000 copies to finish in ninth.

Two cookbooks also made the top 10. Pete Evans’ Family Food: 130 Delicious Paleo Recipes for Every Day (Plum) sold 70,000 copies to finish in eighth place, and Sarah Wilson’s I Quit Sugar: Simplicious (Macmillan) sold 68,000 to finish in 10th.
