NGV releases program for second Art Book Fair

The National Gallery of Victoria will host the second annual Melbourne Art Book Fair from 29 April to 1 May.

The program has expanded to include twice as many publishers and events as last year’s inaugural festival, which drew 16,000 visitors. This year’s program includes a full-day symposium on the future of design for publishing; a ticketed ‘evening preview’ event with music performances, pop-up bars and food; panel discussions; a publishing and design masterclass; and the launch of more than 20 books and magazines.

Guests include Korean graphic designer Na Kim, UK publisher David Blamey, UK graphic designer James Langdon, Dutch publisher Freek Lomme, and representatives from German publisher Sternberg Press.

More than 60 stalls will be set up in the Great Hall showcasing art books, independent zines and prints.
