ABA Nielsen BookData Booksellers Choice Award 2016 shortlist announced

The shortlist for this year’s Australian Booksellers Association (ABA) Nielsen BookData Booksellers Choice Award has been announced.

The shortlisted titles are:

  • Flesh Wounds (Richard Glover, ABC Books)
  • Reckoning: A Memoir (Magda Szubanski, Text)
  • The Lake House (Kate Morton, A&U)
  • The Natural Way of Things (Charlotte Wood, A&U)
  • The Secret Chord (Geraldine Brooks, Hachette)
  • Thelma the Unicorn (Aaron Blabey, Scholastic).

ABA members now have the opportunity to vote for their favourite shortlisted title. The winner will be announced during the ABA conference on 29 May in Canberra.

The ABA Nielsen BookData Booksellers Choice Award recognises Australian new-release titles that booksellers most enjoyed reading, marketing and handselling during the past year. Last year’s winner was The 52-Storey Treehouse by Andy Griffiths and Terry Denton (Pan).
