Zusak tops Dymocks 101 reader poll for third year in a row

The Book Thief by Markus Zusak (Picador) has topped the Dymocks Top 101 books of all time list for the third year in a row.

Twenty three Australian books made the list, including Graeme Simsion’s The Rosie Project (Text) at seventh spot, Rosalie Ham’s The Dressmaker (Duffy and Snellgrove) at 12, Hannah Kent’s Burial Rites at 13 (Picador) and M L Stedman’s The Light Between the Oceans (Vintage) at 20.

Four of the top five books and 46 overall were written by female authors, and 12 YA or children’s titles made the list. In total 121,674 booklovers member votes were counted, which was up more than seven times on last year.
