Horin appointed Five Mile Press publishing director

Hardie Grant Egmont publisher Niki Horin has joined Bonnier Publishing Australia as Five Mile Press publishing director.

Horin began her publishing career at Five Mile Press 13 years ago as children’s books commissioning editor. In a statement Bonnier CEO Natasha Besliev said Horin’s ‘unparalleled dedication to editorial integrity and delivery of commercial success is exactly what we’re committed to at Five Mile’.

Horin said: ‘It’s a very exciting time to be back in the fray at Bonnier Publishing Australia. Five Mile is celebrating its quarter century birthday this year. It’s a wonderful opportunity to build on a reputation 25 years in the making with a renewed focus and fresh approach.’

Horin will report to Besliev in the new role.

As previously reported by Books+Publishing, Besliev also joined Bonnier Publishing Australia from Hardie Grant Egmont, taking on the newly created role of CEO of Bonnier Australia, a ‘consolidation’ of the company’s Australian businesses, in November 2015.
