The Treehouse Fun Book by Jill Griffiths, Andy Griffiths & Terry Denton (Pan) has climbed from fifth to first place in this week’s top 10 bestsellers chart—also making it this week’s fastest mover. It’s followed in the top 10 by Predator (Wilbur Smith & Tom Cain, HarperCollins) and Lady Midnight (Cassandra Clare, S&S) in second and third place respectively. There are four new entries in this week’s top 10: Anh Do’s Crazy Weird, book six in his ‘WeirDo’ series (Scholastic); and three adult fiction releases—Harlan Coben’s Fool Me Once (Century), James Patterson’s Private Paris (Century) and Jeffery Deaver’s The Steel Kiss (Hachette). Do, Coben and Patterson also made the fastest movers chart, along with Helen Garner’s nonfiction collection Everywhere I Look (Text), while Thornton McCamish’s biography of Australian writer Alan Moorehead, Our Man Elsewhere (Black Inc.), is this week’s highest new entry in 467th place—Books+Publishing (source: Nielsen BookScan, week ending 2 April 2016).
