Jolley Prize 2016 shortlist announced

The shortlist for the Australian Book Review’s (ABR) Elizabeth Jolley Short Story Prize, worth a total of $12,500, has been announced.

The shortlisted stories are:

  • ‘Ash’ by Anthony Lawrence
  • ‘Glisk’ by Josephine Rowe
  • ‘The Water Calligrapher’s Women’ by Jonathan Tel.

The shortlist was chosen from almost 1400 entries, and the three stories are published in the August edition of ABR.

The winner will be announced at an event at the Melbourne Writers Festival on 27 August.
