Bonnier Publishing launches US division

Swedish-owned, UK-based Bonnier Publishing is launching a US division as part of an ‘ambitious programme for growth’, reports the Bookseller. Bonnier Publishing USA will bring together Bonnier’s two US-based imprints, nonfiction illustrated publisher Weldon Owen and children’s publisher Little Bee Books, with the company planning to increase its US revenue from US$40m (A$52m) to US$100m (A$130m) by the end of 2019. According to the Bookseller, Bonnier Publishing intends to grow its US revenue through ‘organic means and by founding start-ups’. Little Bee Books president Shimul Tolia has been appointed CEO of Bonnier Publishing USA.
