Ryckmans resigns as Nero publisher

Jeanne Ryckmans has resigned from the position of Nero Books publisher at Black Inc.

Ryckmans was appointed to the position in 2013, when Black Inc. announced it was relaunching its commercial title imprint. Ryckmans previously worked as a publisher at HarperCollins and Random House.

Black Inc. said in a statement that Ryckmans was responsible for ‘many outstanding projects’ including The Voice: My Story by Ray Warren and Andrew Webster, Body Lengths by Leisel Jones and Felicity McLean, Nona & Me by Clare Atkins, Gloria Steinem’s My Life on the Road and the forthcoming Peter Moody biography by Helen Thomas.

Black Inc. director Morry Schwartz said Ryckmans ‘made an important and significant contribution to the success of Nero and the establishment of our Sydney office’. ‘We wish her the very best of luck with this next stage in her career,’ said Schwartz.
