Carter to receive international sports autobiography prize

New Zealand rugby player Dan Carter will receive the best autobiography prize at the 2016 Sportel Awards, to be held in Monaco on 25 October, for his book Dan Carter: The Autobiography of an All Blacks Legend (with Duncan Greive, Upstart Press).

The book was previously shortlisted for the UK’s Cross Sports Book Awards, in the international sports autobiography of the year category.

Carter’s autobiography was the highest-selling book in New Zealand in 2015, ahead of Lee Child’s Make Me (Bantam) and E L James’ Grey (Arrow).

The annual Sportel Awards recognise the best international sports videos and illustrated books published in the preceding year. For more information, click here.
