Second Rock & Roll Writers Festival to be held in Brisbane next year

The second Rock & Roll Writers Festival will be held in Brisbane from 1-2 April 2017.

The first festival, which was held in April this year, received ‘enthusiastic coverage and feedback’ from media and audiences. It was established by former band managers Leanne de Souza and Joe Woolley as ‘a weekend-long event that initiates discussion of how music and literature influence each other’.

Among the first guests announced are music biographer Holly George-Warren, novelist Nick Earls, photographer Sophie Howarth, musician and writer Hugo Race, and songwriter Tim Steward.

Around 30 authors, musicians and artists are expected to participate in a program of interviews, presentations, talks and panel discussions, which will be held at the Old Museum in Bowen Hills.

The full program will be announced in February. For more information, click here.
