First authors announced for Adelaide Writers’ Week

The first line-up of authors has been announced for Adelaide Writers’ Week, which runs from 4-9 March 2017.

Among the international guests are UK true-crime writer Kate Summerscale; US essayist Lindy West; US novelist Sara Taylor; US novelist Peter Geye; Canadian writer Madeleine Thien; Chilean poet and novelist Alejandro Zambra; Indonesian novelist Eka Kurniawan; US novelist Jane Smiley; Scottish journalist and travel writer Malachy Tallack; Irish novelist Sebastian Barry; Mexican novelist Yuri Herrera; and UK novelist Jessie Burton.

Local guests include authors Hannah Kent, Inga Simpson, John Marsden, Barry Maitland, Ashleigh Wilson, David Hunt and Davina Bell, and illustrator and book designer Allison Colpoys.
