Over 70 authors will participate in the 2017 Australian Romance Readers Convention (ARRC), which runs from 24-26 February in Melbourne.

Headlining the festival are US authors Courtney Milan and Kristen Callihan, and award-winning Australian author Kylie Scott. US author Thea Harrison will also appear via Skype.

Session topics include favourite tropes, book boyfriends, social issues, sports-themed romances, steampunk, the rise of rural romance, dystopian romance, feminism and romance fiction, regular guys as heroes, and the perfect villain.

Organisers said the convention will ‘highlight the diverse and ever-widening romance sub-genres, including historical, erotic, suspense, action, paranormal, contemporary, young adult, new adult, rural romance, fantasy and time travel’.

The ARRC is run by the Australian Romance Readers Association. For more information and to see the draft program, click here.
