PRH to publish new McInerney novel in July

Penguin Random House will publish a new novel by Monica McInerney, The Trip of a Lifetime, in July.

The novel is set in South Australia’s Clare Valley and Ireland. The publisher called the book ‘a rich and highly entertaining story about family, love, lies and memories, and the true meaning of home’,

Publisher Ali Watts, who acquired the book through Fiona Inglis at Curtis Brown Australia, said the book is ‘a big, bold, beautiful novel’. ‘Reading this book will draw you in to feel part of a truly unique and special family and leave you pondering meaningful questions about your own,’ said Watts.

McInerney’s last novel, Hello from the Gillespies, was published in 2014 and sold over 53,000 copies.
