OzCo announces VIPs project fund recipients

The Australia Council has announced the recipients of its Visiting International Publishers (VIPs) 2015-16 project fund.

The recipients are:

• Books+Publishing ($9790)
• Wenona Byrne ($9400)
• Giramondo ($7000)
• Mis Zalozba ($10,000)
• Benython Oldfield ($5800)
• University of Queensland Press ($6764).

The project fund was open to Australian and international publishers, literary agents and scouts who attended the Australia Council’s VIPs events in Sydney in 2015 and 2016.

Books+Publishing was awarded funding to establish two monthly digital newsletters (adult and children’s/YA) that promote Australian books and authors to an international audience of publishers, rights managers and literary agents.
