Braybrooke promoted to MD of Scribe UK

Scribe UK publicity and operations manager Sarah Braybrooke has been promoted to managing director of Scribe UK.

Braybrooke’s promotion is one of four at Scribe’s UK office, with Molly Slight promoted to editorial and publicity manager, Adam Howard promoted to publicist, and Sophie Leeds promoted to digital marketing coordinator.

Scribe publisher Henry Rosenbloom said in a statement that he was ‘delighted with the rapid progress of Scribe UK and our staff’s achievements here’.

Scribe UK publisher-at-large Philip Gwyn Jones said that Scribe UK had demonstrated that ‘despite the naysayers, it is still entirely possible for a new independent publishing house to win the attention of booksellers, journalists, festivals, and readers by sticking to the immemorial virtues: editorial ambition and integrity; strikingly inventive design and production; intelligent, responsive publicising of the books; a sense of proportion; and oodles of unsleeping dedication and diligence’.

As previously reported by Books+Publishing, earlier this year Scribe announced it was increasing its US-based marketing and publicity team to support its titles in the region.
