Wood, Meadows commended in 2016 Tiptree Award

Australian authors Charlotte Wood and Foz Meadows have been commended in the US-based Tiptree Award, which is presented for science-fiction and fantasy that expands or explores the understanding of gender.
Wood was commended for The Natural Way of Things, which is published by Europa Editions in the US; and Meadows was commended for An Accident of Stars, published by Angry Robots.
US author Anna-Marie McLemore was the overall winner and received US$1000 (A$1323). The works chosen for the 2016 prize will be celebrated at an event in Madison, Wisconsin in late May.
