Queensland Literary Awards announces new prize for digital literature

The Queensland Literary Awards is introducing a new digital literature award in 2017.

The $10,000 prize, sponsored by the Queensland University of Technology, is open to all original works of digital literature that are ‘purpose-designed for digital consumption’.

Queensland’s minister for innovation, science and the digital economy, Leeanne Enoch, said the new award was designed to showcase innovation in publishing. ‘Queensland is one of the global centres of innovation in digital writing and publishing, making this new prize a perfect addition to the major literary awards of our state,’ said Enoch.

The Queensland Literary Awards are presented by State Library of Queensland for published and unpublished work. For more information, click here.
