Evans appointed head of Copyright Agency’s Cultural Fund, Reading Australia

The Copyright Agency has appointed Nicola Evans as the head of its Cultural Fund and Reading Australia programs.

Evans’ previous roles include program manager for the Australia Council and, most recently, program and communications manager for the Australian Publishers Association. She replaces the outgoing Cultural Fund manager Zoë Rodriguez, who announced her departure from the Copyright Agency last month.

Copyright Agency CEO Adam Suckling said in a statement that Evans has ‘extensive experience overseeing grants programs and developing policies for the literature sector, having worked at the Australia Council for more than 20 years’, as well as ‘in-depth knowledge of a wide range of art practices and strong contacts across the Australian creative community, where she is held in high regard’.

Evans begins in the role on 20 April.
