SWF 2017 schools program announced

The Sydney Writers’ Festival (SWF) has announced the line-up for this year’s Primary and Secondary School Days programs, to be held from 22 to 26 May.

British writer and illustrator Lauren Child and US author Kate DiCamillo will join Australian authors Matt Stanton and Jack Heath for the five-day Primary School Days program. Irish YA author Sarah Crossan, US YA writer Jennifer Niven and local authors Yassmin Abdel-Magied and Gabrielle Williams will head the three-day Secondary School Days program.

The programs will be held across Sydney CBD, Parramatta, Chatswood and Penrith, with the first four days of the primary school program already selling out. A free session of the primary school program will be held at Sydney Town Hall on Friday 26 May.

The 2017 Sydney Writers’ Festival will run from 22-28 May, with the full program launching on 6 April. For more information about the School Days programs, visit the SWF website here.
