‘Manuscript’ magazine expands to high-end art books

Manuscript magazine will expand into book publishing with a series of high-end, hardcover art, fashion and design books.

The first book in the series will be a monograph of Australian artist Michael Zavros in September, followed by Punk Girls, a representation of the punk movement by artist Liz Ham, in late 2017.

Manuscript publisher Mitchell Oakley Smith said the business was established as ‘a platform for today’s most inspiring creative figures, and there is no better way to evolve that platform than to expand the boundaries of what is possible in a piece of printed matter’. ‘Manuscript as a business is no longer just a magazine but a way to communicate complex theses, innovative imagery and generally inspiring content,’ said Oakley Smith.

Manuscript will continue publishing as a magazine and online alongside its book projects.
