S&S to publish new Maggie Beer cookbook in October

Simon & Schuster will publish a new cookbook by Maggie Beer in October, aimed at enhancing food experiences for older Australians.

Maggie’s Recipe for Life will include over 150 recipes developed using nutritional guidelines set out by aging and alzheimer’s disease researcher Ralph Martins. The book will be produced by former Lantern publishing director Julie Gibbs.

Simon & Schuster managing director Dan Ruffino said Beer is ‘one of our best-loved and admired food personalities and it’s an absolute honour to publish her new book, shared with Professor Ralph Martins whom she respects so much’. ‘To have Maggie write a book about optimising health and life expectancy while still honoring the joy of eating and food is a winning combination,’ said Ruffino.

The proceeds from the book will be go to the Maggie Beer Foundation and the Lions Alzheimer’s Foundation.
