‘The Garret’ podcast announces episodes with publishers, editors, booksellers, critics

The Australian writers podcast ‘The Garret’ has announced a series of special episodes with publishers, editors, booksellers and critics, beginning with Text publisher Michael Heyward on 4 May.

In his interview, Heyward talks about the future of the Australian publishing industry; parallel importation; ‘his long-term creative partnership with Tim Flannery’ and ‘his experience of reading Graeme Simsion’s manuscript for The Rosie Project’.

‘The Garret’ will release a special episode with each new season of the podcast.

As previously reported by Books+Publishing, Season 2 of ‘The Garret’ runs from 2 March to 13 April and includes interviews with Andy and Jill Griffiths, Carmel Bird, Tony Birch, Alicia Sometimes, Jeff Sparrow, Anita Heiss and Leigh Hobbs.

Season 3 begins on 1 June and will include interviews with Ian McGuire, Adrian McKinty, Mia Freedman and Christos Tsiolkas.
