Hawthorne, Henke and Richards receive Vic Supreme Court Inspire Awards

Writers Susan Hawthorne, Frances Henke and Kate Richards have been presented with Inspire Awards for Best Achievement in Writing, administered by the Victorian Supreme Court’s Funds in Court Division.

The awards recognise Victorians who identify with a disability and are well respected in their field of work or community. Recipients are acknowledged for their professional contribution as well as their leadership, role modelling and mentoring, with the awards designed to raise awareness about disability issues and support the development of an inclusive Australian society.

Awards were also presented in the categories of law, human rights, disability advocacy, visual arts, sport, war veterans, emergency services and volunteering. For more information about the awards, click here.
