CBCA partners with party supplies company

The Children’s Book Council of Australia (CBCA) has partnered with Australian party supplies company The Party People to promote Children’s Book Week.

The CBCA said the partnership will enable it to offer ‘a vast range of creative costume ideas for teachers, librarians and parents to source’.

‘We are thrilled to work with The Party People to bring a one-stop shop for creative costumes for Children’s Book Week,’ said CBCA chair Margot Hillel. ‘We’ve seen so many beautiful costumes over the years inspired by hundreds of delightful characters from Australian children’s literature including green sheep, very cranky bears, gumnut babies and magic possums.’

The CBCA will also use The Party People’s ‘broad network’ to ‘grow awareness of children’s literature and Children’s Book Week activities, as well as drive donations’.

This year’s Children’s Book Week runs from 19-26 August under the theme ‘Escape to Everywhere’.
